The next generation wireless technology networks and beyond (i.e., fifth and sixth generation) are changing the global landscape for the interconnectivity of everything-toeverything. To this end, different communication technologies, including millimeter wave, terahertz, and optical wireless, are to be utilized. The latter includes the three spectral bands of ultraviolet, visible, and infrared.
